Albatroz Therapeutics is a Singapore‑based biotechnology company developing first‑in‑class antibody therapeutics to treat solid tumors and arthritic disorders. Its lead program targets a novel extracellular matrix‑degrading protein exposed via the GalNAc‑T Activation (GALA) glycosylation pathway, which the company says is activated in tumors and arthritic synovial membranes. Albatroz holds exclusive rights to the target and has developed therapeutic antibodies that selectively inhibit extracellular matrix degradation while minimizing toxicity. The company is conducting target validation, drug development, and preclinical studies and plans to move toward the clinic. Albatroz secured $3 million USD in funding led by Outram Bio and SEEDS Capital to accelerate these efforts and was awarded Amgen’s Golden Ticket prize, which provides access to a turnkey BSL‑2 laboratory. The underlying technology and discovery work were developed by the founders at A*STAR’s Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology, and the company was founded in 2020.
