Sparx provides an in-class and homework maths solution that uses machine learning, personalised content and data analytics to deliver adaptive practice and daily insights for teachers and students. Its flagship product, Sparx Maths, launched in September 2018 and combines 32,000 carefully designed maths questions with an adaptive AI technology platform. The platform personalises learning by searching thousands of questions to match each student’s level and provides teachers with class- and student-level progress trends. Sparx was founded in 2010 and has worked closely with partner schools (including Ted Wragg Multi-Academy Trust) to research, test and refine its approach. The company says it plans to rapidly scale operations over the next five years to support international ambitions and aims to improve learning outcomes for more than five million learners by 2030. Recent investment activity has supported development, testing and closer school engagement to increase the product’s impact.
