Bonnet is a London-based EV charging point aggregator that consolidates charger locations and provides real-time availability via an app. It offers a single payment plan that works across multiple UK charging networks. Launched in 2021 by founders Patrick Reich and Eliot Makabu, the company says it has in excess of 200,000 chargers on its network and has more than doubled its coverage in Europe in the past three months. Bonnet secured £3 million in fresh funding from existing backers GV, Lightspeed Venture Partners and 20VC, and has opened a crowdfunding campaign that has already attracted nearly £600,000 in pledges from its community and angels including investors from TIER Mobility, Wise and Deliveroo. The new operating capital is intended to expand Bonnet's footprint in the UK and Continental Europe and to roll out new features for drivers and fleet managers. The company says engaging with its active driver community has been central to how it has built the service, and the crowdfunding gives users an opportunity to take a stake. Bonnet offers an app that aggregates real‑time data on public charge point availability and functionality and sells charging bundles to reduce costs for drivers. Launched in July 2021 by co‑founders Patrick Reich and Eliot Makabu, the platform works with charge point operators and manufacturers to simplify charging for customers. Since launch the service reports access to 50,000 charge points across the UK and Europe and adds thousands of new charge points each month. The company says the funding will be used to triple headcount, secure new charge point operator partnerships, expand international presence and support R&D into new features and revenue streams. Bonnet frames its mission as decreasing charging anxiety and democratizing public charging, particularly for drivers without private driveways. Launched in October 2019 by Patrick Reich and Eliot Makabu, Bonnet aggregates public charging points and provides real-time availability reports via an app. The platform also offers a single, cost-effective charging payment plan that works across multiple UK networks and can be rolled over month to month. Bonnet has aggregated over 1,400 public charging points and is on track to incorporate at least 70% of all charge points in the UK by the end of the year. The product lineup has been expanded to include semi-private and private charging points, giving domestic suppliers greater visibility and drivers more options. The company has formed partnerships with operators including ESB, Shell Recharge, EVBox, Alfa Power, Franklin Energy, Plug-N-Go, Allego, Fastened and char.gy. The new funding is intended to grow the team and expand partnerships with network operators.
