FieldSense builds hyper-local weather services for farmers using in-field, solar-powered weather stations that feed data into user-friendly tools and forecasts. The company launched its weather services in 2018 after being founded in 2015. It sells weather data and monitoring tools to help farmers detect and act on microclimatic conditions. FieldSense reports over 1,400 customers, about 2,000 active weather stations, and a 16-person team based in Aarhus, Denmark. The startup plans to use new funding to strengthen its position in existing markets (Scandinavia, the Baltics and Northern Germany) and expand into additional European markets.
