Cromodata operates a data-exchange platform that connects 47+ medical centers across Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador, transforming fragmented clinical records into anonymized, HIPAA- and GDPR-compliant datasets. Its technology already manages more than 20 million medical images and clinical records, giving global pharma and AI developers access to under-represented Latin American patient data. The company creates new revenue streams for participating hospitals while supplying industry clients with diverse real-world evidence to validate studies and train algorithms. Revenues to date have come from these data-licensing relationships and an initial period of founder bootstrapping. With fresh capital, management plans to expand into Brazil and Mexico, onboard additional data types such as digital pathology, lab results, genomics and rare-disease records, and shore up regulatory-compliance infrastructure. Ultimately the team aims to become the leading healthcare data hub for Latin America, enabling earlier diagnoses and more region-appropriate therapies. Cromodata’s economic sustainability is positioned as central to its social impact and long-term scalability.
