Cutting Edge Media Music (CEMM) is a division of Cutting Edge Group that provides financing and investment services focused on music for film, television, video games and other media. The company also operates as a music publisher and record label and offers a range of music services across productions. Cutting Edge Group’s media music divisions include Cutting Edge Music Publishing, Lakeshore Records, Broadway Records, Music.Film and White Stork. CEMM and its affiliates have provided music services to more than 1,000 feature films, TV shows, musical theatre productions and video games, with credits including Stranger Things, Bridgerton, The King’s Speech and Red Dead Redemption. The business recently secured $100 million in new financing from a consortium of banks led by Pinnacle Financial Partners. Management said the partnership with Pinnacle will help give the next wave of film and TV composers the opportunity to monetize their catalogues. Tim Hegarty, Cutting Edge Group’s head of mergers and acquisitions, represented Cutting Edge in the transaction.
