  Biomea Fusion focuses on a platform of irreversible inhibitors aimed at genomically defined drivers of tumor growth across hematologic and solid tumors. Its lead program is an irreversible menin inhibitor that targets the menin-MLL protein-protein interaction and is in IND-enabling studies. The company plans to enter the clinic with the menin program in the second half of 2021 to generate first-in-human data in patients with liquid and solid tumors. Proceeds from the recent financing will also support two additional irreversible preclinical programs through IND-enabling studies. Biomea intends to expand its core research team to enhance preclinical and clinical capabilities. The company states its mission is to deliver targeted, potentially durable therapies for cancer patients with defined genetic alterations.
