Goldex operates a U.K. marketplace app that discovers best prices among gold dealers on its platform and routes client orders to major international vaults rather than holding inventory. The company says routing to vaults in London, Zurich, New York, Toronto and Singapore produces average savings of 8–12% and improves transparency over charges. Goldex was launched in late July and was founded by former Credit Suisse and UBS electronic trading professionals Sylvia Carrasco and Fernando Ripolles. The app positions itself against rivals like Glint by avoiding inventory and attempting to reduce price manipulation. Goldex has raised more than £1 million (about $1.25M) in a pre-Series A round to support growth and product development. The company frames the funding as taking it closer to becoming a leading, ethical and fully transparent gold trading platform for consumers.
