Gelion PLC focuses on designing and commercialising advanced lithium-sulfur batteries built around its proprietary sulfur-based cathode material. Over the next 12 months the team will build multilayer demonstrator cells that QinetiQ will independently test, supplying data needed to de-risk adoption in strategic sectors. Results are scheduled to be showcased at the Cenex Expo 2026, providing a platform for broader industry engagement. While the firm did not disclose revenue or user figures, management highlighted that independent certification and performance validation are key milestones on the path to commercial deployment.
