  Swag Of The Month is a $9-per-month subscription service that sends men t-shirts and other clothing items matched to their style preferences from independent fashion designers. Subscribers fill out a style preference survey and can return items for a replacement; the service launched last month and currently has 300 paying customers. Retailers provide garments for free as an alternative form of marketing, and the company operates from a Santa Monica, Los Angeles office where designers are plentiful. Founders Erik Huberman and Austin Smith previously bootstrapped the business. The startup raised $100,000 in an angel round from Quattro Development to legitimize operations. The funds will be used for day-to-day operations, marketing, web development, and designer partnerships, and the company plans to streamline fulfillment over time to boost margins.
