Shark Solutions operates PVB recycling factories that manufacture recycled PVB for industrial applications and sells the material worldwide. The company also offers mobile glass separation systems for recycling windshields and other laminated glass; the technology is applicable to gypsum boards and solar panels. Shark Solutions currently operates factories in Denmark and Belgium and has 20 employees. Founded in 2005 and led by CEO Jens Holmegaard, the company plans to grow both in Denmark and abroad, including establishing a production facility in the US (planned for 2012) and an additional facility in Europe. Recently it raised equity funding to support that expansion. Michael Lauper of Reclay Holding will join the company’s board in conjunction with the funding.
