Enveil commercializes homomorphic encryption and secure multiparty computation to let organizations analyze and use encrypted data without decrypting it. Its product suite, marketed under the ZeroReveal brand, includes an encrypted search tool and a machine-learning product for collaborative and federated ML in a secure, private manner. The company says its IP enables complex business functionality by embedding addition and multiplication into encryption workflows. Enveil has seen a 300% increase in revenue since its February 2020 Series A and counts several strategic investors as paying customers. The startup plans to use new funding to expand its product lineup and to invest in sales and marketing to grow its customer base. The CEO is Ellison Anne Williams. Enveil builds an API-based homomorphic encryption product called ZeroReveal that enables computation on encrypted data without requiring changes to existing compute environments. ZeroReveal is a two-party setup with a client app inside an enterprise network and a server app deployed where data resides; together they act as a point-to-point proxy to protect analytics and interactions. The product complements data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption, and the company has filed 13 patent applications related to its approach. Enveil has kept a low profile for roughly three years and was founded by Ellison Anne Williams, a former National Security Agency senior researcher and former senior scientist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. With the new funding, Enveil plans to expand its product line, grow customer support and sales teams, and cultivate traction in both commercial and government markets. Financially, the company announced a $10 million Series A that brings total funding to approximately $15 million. Enveil develops a Never Decrypt computation capability that lets enterprises perform search and analytics without exposing data during processing, protecting Data in Use. Its platform enables secure operations on both encrypted and unencrypted data in the cloud, on‑premises, or hybrid environments. The company cites traction with customers in the financial industry and use cases such as secure data monetization, crown‑jewel protection, secure cloud migration, and GDPR compliance. Enveil plans to use the new capital to enhance its platform, expand operations, hire growth‑oriented roles, and execute a go‑to‑market strategy to increase availability for commercial and government enterprises worldwide. The company was founded by U.S. Intelligence Community alumni and highlights prior recognition, including winning the 2017 RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox.
