Rejuvenate Biomed is a biomedical company developing novel combination drugs that aim to delay or prevent the onset of multiple age-related diseases. Established in October 2017 by Ann Beliën and based in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium, the company focuses on the intersection between fundamental aging mechanisms and chronic conditions. It has developed a proprietary in silico screening platform that uses artificial intelligence and network biology to evaluate dysregulated pathways in aging and identify synergistic combinations of safe, marketed treatments. Its lead candidate, RJx-01, is a novel small-molecule combination identified using that platform and is being developed for the treatment of acute and chronic sarcopenia. Rejuvenate is a resident company of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JLABS. The company raised EUR 15.7m in Series B funding to accelerate the clinical development of RJx-01 in both disuse-induced and age-related muscle failure.
