CUREOSITY develops a virtual reality and gamification-based therapy platform, CUREO®, that combines neuroscientific findings — notably neuroplasticity — with clinical therapy experience. The SaaS product offers 50 trainings organized into seven modules and is usable in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and neuropsychology across all phases and locations. Since market launch the company says it has grown strongly; CUREO® is now in use in almost 200 therapeutic facilities across 24 countries. Management says the idea arose from a personal need of the three founders and that the company will invest heavily in commercial expansion. The firm intends to incorporate emerging technologies into its product roadmap and use the financing to secure financial independence and sustainable operations. The additional capital is intended to further expand CUREO®'s market leadership in VR therapy. CUREosity develops a digitally assisted rehabilitation and training system built on VR technology for cognitive and motor impairments. The founders, who have family members affected, created a new worldwide rehabilitation method informed by current neuroscientific findings and a team of doctors. Its first prototype has shown high acceptance and impressive results in initial clinical practice. The company uses methods to harness neuroplasticity to restore lost abilities and help patients regain independence. CUREosity positions its product to close a growing supply gap as ageing and advances in acute care increase demand; the article cites more than 10 million people in Germany and 700 million worldwide with psychological and neurological impairments. The recent financing is intended to develop the prototype into a marketable product and push for motivating, high-frequency therapy access for patients.
