CompStak gathers granular commercial lease, sale, and property data via a crowdsourced model and provides that information through its Exchange, Enterprise, and Analytics products. Its core offering combines analyst-reviewed comps and market analytics used by investors, lenders, landlords, brokers, and occupiers. The platform is powered by 30,000+ members who share lease and sale comps in exchange for access to other data. Since launching in 2012, CompStak has grown a client base that includes major real estate firms and corporate users. The company plans to expand its crowdsourcing methodology into new asset classes and broaden its datasets, products, and markets. CompStak intends to roll out new product launches for its Exchange and Enterprise platforms and a meaningful expansion of its Analytics Suite while growing its team and offices. CompStak is an NYC-based provider of commercial real estate transaction data and analytics that aggregates hard-to-find information to create market transparency. Its CompStak Exchange platform offers analyst-reviewed commercial lease comps, sales comps, and property details to brokers, appraisers, and researchers at no charge. Since 2012 the company has served a network of tens of thousands of members and clients, including Tishman Speyer, Wells Fargo, Vornado, Boston Properties, and every major brokerage nationwide. Its enterprise client roster includes investors, lenders, and advisors, with recent wins such as Allianz, Lendlease, L&L Holdings, Mitsui Fudosan, and PwC. Led by CEO and co-founder Michael Mandel, CompStak will use the Series B proceeds to accelerate growth into new product segments, expand the Exchange member base, and hire top talent. The Series B brought total funding since launch to $28 million. CompStak aggregates crowd-sourced commercial lease and transaction data and delivers market analytics through products like CompStak Exchange and CompStak Enterprise. Its dataset covers over 275,000 commercial properties across 70 U.S. markets and it serves a network of tens of thousands of members and clients, including major CRE firms. The company provides verified lease comps for brokers, appraisers, researchers, and granular transaction information for lenders, landlords, and investors. Under the partnership with Moody’s Analytics, CompStak will integrate aggregated insights into Moody’s CRE solutions and collaborate on a new platform for comprehensive CRE data and analytics. The collaboration aims to reach additional markets and develop new products and technologies for CRE finance and risk professionals. CompStak operates a marketplace for commercial real estate data that gathers information through a proprietary crowdsourced model, rewarding real estate professionals with virtual currency they can spend to acquire data. The platform is free for brokers, appraisers and researchers and has expanded to 12 U.S. commercial real estate markets, including San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles and Dallas. Launched in Manhattan in 2012 by CEO Michael Mandel, the company employs 40 full-time employees. CompStak has developed a broker analytics product called CompStak Exchange and plans to use new funds to grow the team, add more markets and further develop that analytics platform. Financially, the company closed a $4.4M funding round that brought total funding to over $10M. CompStak is a NYC-based marketplace that gathers commercial real estate lease information that is hard to find or compile. Its database is used by institutional owners, hedge funds, brokers, investors, appraisers, asset managers and economists. The company was co-founded by CEO Michael Mandel and CTO Vadim Belobrovk. CompStak aggregates lease data to enable comparisons, investment analysis and appraisal work. The company intends to use new funding to hire staff, expand nationwide and develop new products. Financially, CompStak announced a $4.45M Series A following an earlier $565K seed round.
