Unibio, based in London and Roskilde, develops fermentation-based protein using its U-Loop® technology to convert methane (natural gas or biogas) into Uniprotein. The U-Loop process mimics a natural process and yields protein that is efficient, stable, independent of weather, free from pesticides, fully traceable, and non-GMO. Uniprotein has been launched commercially and is attracting significant global interest from feed compound companies and animal and fish farmers. Production of its protein for direct human consumption is under development. The company intends to use a newly announced US$70M investment to roll out new global production capacity, grow operating capabilities, and accelerate innovation and commercialization. Unibio is led by CEO David Henstrom.
