REEV develops intelligent, lightweight wearable robotics to assist patients with gait and movement disorders, offering REEV SENSE (a motion sensor system) and DREEVEN (an electro-hydraulic wearable knee-assist device). The company has produced 100 REEV SENSE commercial units with FDA and CE medical certifications and completed a clinical study at MIT's Center for Clinical and Translational Research. DREEVEN functional units have undergone initial patient testing and the first DREEVEN series is expected to launch in 2026. REEV plans to finalize DREEVEN's design, conduct FDA trials, and run a clinical study at Boston University's Neuromotor Recovery Lab under Dr. Lou Awad. The company was co-founded in 2021 by Amaury Ciurana and Dr. Robin Temporelli and has a 30-person team based in Boston, MA and Toulouse, France. The recent financing will support clinical and industrial development toward U.S. market entry. Reev develops a motorized, custom knee orthosis — a robotic walking-assistance device presented as a motorized orthosis to be installed at the knee that the company says relieves stress on the joint by at least 30%. The device is aimed at people with walking problems due to neurological damage (for example stroke or multiple sclerosis), a population the company cites as about 50 million people worldwide. The orthosis is inspired by automotive power-steering technology and grew out of an ISAE‑Supaero project; co‑founders are Amaury Ciurana and Robin Temporelli. Reev has roughly 25 employees, about 500 m2 of premises near Labège (Haute‑Garonne), and recently established a Boston presence with two employees to support US validation and commercialization. The company is industrializing the product with Thuasne, plans to produce around ten models to measure therapeutic benefits, and targets a unit price of about $30,000. Short-term plans include deploying the first exoskeletons in the United States in the fall and running a validation study with MIT, followed by a clinical phase to test the device on dozens of patients.
