OverT Bio is a New York–based biotechnology company developing cellular therapies for solid tumors. The company leverages pooled functional screening and synthetic genomics platforms, OverT argetTM and OverT CRTM, to uncover therapeutic targets and genetic enhancements in an unbiased, data-driven way. Its goal is to deliver next-generation cell therapies for cancer patients underserved by current standard of care. OverT Bio was awarded a $120,000 G‑Rex Grant from ScaleReady in collaboration with Wilson Wolf Manufacturing, Bio‑Techne, and CellReady to support ongoing development. The grant provides no-cost support, access to GMP closed-system products, and ScaleReady expertise intended to accelerate development while ensuring future scalability and cost-effectiveness. The award is part of ScaleReady’s $20 million grant program aimed at advancing cell and gene-modified cell therapy development and manufacturing. OverT Bio develops engineered immune cell therapies for solid tumors using data-driven, high-throughput discovery platforms. The company employs massively parallel genetic screening, single-cell multiomic, and synthetic biology approaches to identify genomic modifications and novel receptors across the human genome. Its core platforms, OverTarget™ and OverTCR™, are designed to find safe, broadly applicable targets and to program immune cells with durable anti-tumor properties. OverT emphasizes patient-derived immune responses to discover receptors and targets that can be applied across the population. The company aims to advance preclinical assets toward curative, next-generation cellular therapies for advanced solid tumors. Funding will expand discovery platforms to address primary barriers to cell therapy durability and efficacy.
