Wiserentr offers an embedded renting service for consumer electronics integrated at the point of sale of existing e-commerce sites and telcos, allowing users to acquire products for a monthly rental fee. The platform prices access to high-end devices as a fraction of full purchase cost and charges for the time a device is used, with rental terms up to 24 months. Consumers can cancel rentals or purchase the device at any time. Wiserentr has begun operations in Spain through PC Componentes, with more than 100 items available for rental, mainly smartphones from brands such as Samsung and Apple. The company plans to add new product categories including laptops and tablets and to expand into Portugal, France, Germany and Italy. Financially, Wiserentr recently raised €1.6 million in funding to support its growth.
