Thinknum builds a web platform that gives financial analysts tools to move beyond ad-hoc spreadsheets, enabling sharing, collaboration, and model management. The product includes private workspaces (a paid feature) and a portfolio tool that lets users compare thousands of companies and apply specific metrics and models. Since TechCrunch profiled the company, Thinknum improved its user interface and launched private workspaces for a $200 monthly subscription. The platform reports a 200% increase in the number of user-created models and coverage of 92% of all U.S. companies. Financially, Thinknum recently closed a seed round to support growth and plans to use the funds to hire more software engineers. The founders intend to expand into emerging markets to give disconnected analysts access to its tools.
