Ancora Heart develops the AccuCinch® Ventricular Restoration System, a completely transcatheter device intended to restore the structure and function of an enlarged left ventricle in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). The AccuCinch implant is attached to the inner wall of the left ventricle to reduce its size, lower wall stress, and support the heart wall with the goal of reducing symptoms and improving quality of life. The AccuCinch System is investigational and is being evaluated in multiple clinical trials in the U.S. and EU, including the pivotal CORCINCH-HF trial and the CORCINCH-EU study. The CORCINCH-HF study is designed to enroll 400 patients at up to 80 centers worldwide with an initial analysis for PMA submission after the first 250 patients reach six months of follow-up. Ancora plans to use recent financing to accelerate the CORCINCH-HF pivotal study and to prepare for potential FDA PMA submission, launch, and commercialization. Ancora Heart is a privately held company based in Santa Clara, Calif. Ancora Heart is developing the AccuCinch Ventricular Repair System, a minimally invasive investigational treatment for heart failure and functional mitral regurgitation. The AccuCinch procedure is intended to directly repair the enlarged left ventricle, reduce ventricular size, improve left ventricular function, and restore proper mitral valve function. The therapy is aimed at patients whose disease has progressed beyond management with medications or pacemakers or who face high risk from open-heart surgery. Ancora has reported encouraging early clinical results and engagement from leading heart centers participating in studies of the system. The company plans to use new financing to support clinical trials evaluating safety and efficacy and to continue product development. Ancora Heart is based in Santa Clara, Calif.
