Sonostar Capital Partners, LLC is a limited liability company whose members are a select group of extraordinarily successful, highly motivated professionals who are leaders in their respective fields. Fifteen investors have come together to pool their investment capital and to pursue investment opportunities in a Fund managed by Greg Kiernan, the Managing Partner and one of Sonostar Ventures’ founding partners. In addition to providing their capital, the members of Sonostar Capital share their investment ideas, their deal flow, their perspective and insights on potential transactions and access to their network of relationships, helping Sonostar to pursue its vision of entrepreneurial investing. Sonostar Capital Partners principals' believe that this idea and information sharing structure will enable Sonostar to generate significant returns on invested capital.

Tigris Pharmaceuticals is a Bonita Springs, Fla.-based drug development company focused on anticancer therapeutics, including lead compound Aminoflavone pro-drug (AFP-464) and GGTI-2418. AFP-464 has shown growth inhibitory activity in tumor cell line screening, with breast, ovarian, lung and renal lines exhibiting particular sensitivity, and has demonstrated in vivo antitumor activity in multiple xenograft mouse models. A multi-center Phase I ascending dose clinical study of AFP-464 was completed in Europe at Institut Gustave-Roussy and Jules Bordet Institute. The company is conducting a multi-center Phase I dose escalation trial for GGTI-2418 at Abramson Cancer Center (University of Pennsylvania) and Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center. Tigris intends to use proceeds from its recent financing to advance its clinical product pipeline and expects to initiate a multi-site Phase II breast cancer study in 2010. The company completed a private placement of Series C Convertible Preferred Stock raising approximately $6.5M.
