Econotherm designs and manufactures heat pipe waste heat recuperators, economisers, pre-heaters and steam condensers for industrial steam-related applications. The company develops heat exchangers that recover waste heat from furnaces, boilers, ovens, thermal oxidisers, engines and incinerator exhaust. Recovered heat is converted to usable hot air, water or thermal oil for process heating, space heating and electrical generation to reduce clients' fuel costs and CO2 emissions. Econotherm developed its new steam-related technology in a two-year partnership with Spirax-Sarco. The business initially raised angel investment via xenos, the Wales Business Angel Network. David Bundred is the company's chairman.
