  PlayIQ is developing an artificial-intelligence platform that ingests match video and extracts more than 10 million data points from every filmed football game. The resulting analytics deliver tactical insights and real-time statistics designed specifically for coaches, analysts and clubs, differentiating the product from fan-oriented services such as Fotmob. The Bergen-based startup has already piloted the solution with Sportsklubben Brann and won the Demo Day pitch competition earlier this autumn. PlayIQ’s founding team of five, led by CEO John Are Brue, still owns 80 % of the company after the latest financing. The company intends to use the new capital to fund roughly one year of operations, build out its board and consider adding additional resources to accelerate growth. Management is targeting profitability once the current runway is exhausted.
