Square Peg Ventures is a diversified investment group establishing funds, SPVs and syndicates for the purpose of investing in a cross-section of investment opportunities including disruptive technology startup companies and emerging growth companies to income properties and large-scale real estate development / revitalization projects. Our philosophy is simple: "A good deal is where you find it." We do not arbitrarily limit ourselves to a particular overall niche or geography. BuyReply provides a no-app buying platform that enables consumers to purchase from offline media (TV, print, radio, store fronts) via SMS, email, Twitter or QR codes, with a virtual wallet created at first purchase. The company integrates with payment gateways (Stripe, Authorize.net, PayPal, eWay, SecurePay, TNS) and supports USD, CAD and AUD. Pricing is per transaction (5% + $0.15 or 3% + $0.15 with a $99/month plan) with enterprise and high-volume options. Early tests reportedly showed up to 25x engagement versus app-based technologies. The four-person company was founded in late 2011 and launched the product the following year, and it has signed a deal with a large Australian catalog distributor while trial discussions are underway with a New York–based magazine publisher. BuyReply plans to use its new funding to hire engineers, business development and sales staff and to expand further into the U.S. market while keeping its engineering base in Australia. Bonnie Boezeman AO, former chairman of PayPal Australia, was appointed as a director.
