KaryonFood is a Dijon-based French foodtech founded in 2020 by Claire Guillet and Florian Ribeiro. It provides a SaaS platform that collects and analyzes sell-out data from cash registers and warehouse exits to give industrial food companies better visibility on product performance and distribution. The platform centralizes data from retail distributors such as E.Leclerc, Auchan, Monoprix and Carrefour, and from food-service distributors including Metro, Transgourmet and France Frais. The solution launched commercially in 2023 after four years of R&D and has since been adopted by more than 40 brands, including Bel, Lotus, Panzani, Pierre Martinet and MBPack. KaryonFood recently raised €1.3M, exceeding an initial €500k target; the round involved investors such as Finovam Gestion and Strong Hands and included a Tudigo crowdfunding campaign that collected over €900k. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate growth, reinforce its market position and expand in mainland France and internationally to contribute to sustainable food-system resilience.
