Infinity Augmented Reality develops a software-based augmented reality engine that uses standard off-the-shelf mobile cameras and IMUs to efficiently map environments and enable inside-out marker-less orientation and positional tracking (SLAM). Its engine is designed to enable AR headsets and glasses to understand their surroundings while reducing hardware cost, motion-to-photon latency, and power consumption. The platform aims to turn basic, affordable devices into powerful content-augmentation platforms so developers can quickly bring rich AR experiences to market. InfinityAR describes its vision as creating a new digital environment that allows people to naturally interact with augmented content in their physical surroundings. The company is a private Nevada entity and recently closed an $18 million Series C financing led by Alibaba Group. Proceeds will finance accelerated research and development and marketing activities, including establishment of a customer integration and support group.
