Founded in Newcastle in 2008 by CEO Lee Hartley, the business has grown through consolidation of adviser firms. The company intends to use the new capital to continue accelerating its consolidation strategy.

Its platform digitalizes information and data provision to pilots and crew, covering flight operations manuals, safety reporting and quality measurement. Customers include global airlines such as British Airways, Delta, EasyJet, Air Asia and Emirates. The company has operations in Glasgow, Manchester, London and Dubai. In December 2015 Vistair raised £9.0m from Synova Capital to support international growth. The company is led by CEO Ian Herbert and CTO David Hedley.
