  Freightera Logistics is a Vancouver, Canada–based online marketplace that lets businesses compare freight costs and book freight shipping services. Led by founder and CEO Eric Beckwitt, the B2B platform lists rail services and EPA SmartWay carriers focused on energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprint. The service is used by over 9,000 manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and other businesses shipping in the US, Canada and on US–Canada cross-border lanes. Freightera frames its vision as offering an easier, better‑priced, accessible and green way to ship freight. It received a seven-figure investment from Decathlon Capital Partners and plans to use the funds to accelerate sales growth, add new functionality to its online platform and expand customer service capabilities. Freightera is a Vancouver, Canada–based online B2B freight marketplace led by founder and CEO Eric Beckwitt. The platform provides instant all-inclusive freight quotes from carriers of all sizes and offers 24/7 access to less-than-truckload and truckload rates. It serves over 23,000 communities and aggregates rates from hundreds of carriers across the US and Canada. More than 2,000 manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers currently use the platform. The company raised $2.1M in funding and said it intends to raise an additional $3–5M from the same sources in 2016 to expand operations. Investors in the round included Robson Capital, Ted Snider Financial, and Silicon Valley and Silicon Beach angels, including some early backers of Facebook and Twitter.
