The company was founded in 1957 in Lenzkirch, in the Black Forest region of Germany. Testo has been privately owned since its inception. Today, Testo consists of 33 subsidiaries and over 60 agents around the world. The United States subsidiary was founded in 1981. Testo's first product manufactured was a simple electronic thermometer. Today, the product line has expanded to include a large variety of temperature measuring instruments, such as data loggers, air velocity meters, humidity and dew point meters, refrigeration service analyzers, multifunction instruments, stack gas analyzers and air emission monitors, water analyzers, tachometers, sound, pressure, and light meters, and thermal imagers. Testo offers NIST calibrations (where applicable) on all instruments, as well as ISO 9001 quality standards, and up to three year warranties on parts, plus service for the life of the instrument.

FoodLogiQ is a Durham, N.C.–based SaaS provider of traceability, food safety and supply chain transparency solutions for the food industry. Its FoodLogiQ Connect platform provides supplier management, food safety compliance, quality incident and recall management, and whole-chain traceability on a single data-driven platform. The company serves foodservice chains, manufacturers, retailers and growers, and lists customers such as Buffalo Wild Wings, CAVA, Chipotle, Compass Group USA, Five Guys, SUBWAY, Panda Restaurant Group, Raising Cane’s and Tropical Smoothie Cafe, as well as Whole Foods Market and hundreds of growers and co-packers. FoodLogiQ was recognized by Forbes in 2017 as one of the top 25 most innovative AgTech startups. The company says the new funding will be used to accelerate product enhancements, research and development, and expanded sales, marketing and customer success. Prior funding was provided by Clarkston-Potomac Group. FoodLogiQ provides cloud-based SaaS for traceability, food safety and sustainability across the food supply chain. The company said it expanded its most recent round of growth financing to accelerate development and introduction of its product suite and to further build out its leadership team. Leadership changes announced alongside the financing include Dean Wiltse as CEO, with founding CEO Tom Finegan remaining chairman and special advisor. Katy Jones joined as Vice President of Marketing to grow marketing, launch lead generation and expand product marketing via web, digital and social channels. Co-founder Andy Kennedy will continue to focus on food chain product strategy and industry standards development, including GS1 traceability initiatives. FoodLogiQ reported a growing user base of over 1,900 registered businesses in more than 35 countries and 18,000 locations on its cloud platform.
