TheMednet is a physician-focused platform that brings expert clinical commentary and case-based Q&A to oncologists. Launched out of Y Combinator earlier this year, it helps physicians find relevant treatment research filtered by clinical experience. The platform has more than 4,000 oncologists, including 500 experts, and theMednet says 25% of U.S. oncologists have used it. Faculty from academic cancer centers help moderate content to ensure clinical relevance. Co-founders are Nadine Housri, a radiation oncologist, and her brother Samir Housri, CEO. The company plans to grow its community to reach at least 50% of oncologists nationwide, expand the product beyond Q&A, and use technology to curate the right information for doctors. It previously raised grant funding and equity from Y Combinator and The Hope Foundation.
