  SLANTRANGE has pioneered an approach to aerial remote sensing and analytics for agriculture, designing, manufacturing and marketing sensors and analytics systems for drone aircraft. Its proprietary hardware and software combine frame-to-frame onboard ambient sunlight spectrometer calibration with analytics that run without a network connection or cloud upload. The systems measure conditions such as plant and weed densities, pest stress, nutrient deficiencies and dehydration; SLANTRANGE began focused on corn and soybeans and now has deployments serving multiple crops across the United States and abroad. The technology requires only 20% image overlap—covering four times more area per flight—and delivers data products within minutes of a drone’s flight, enabling faster operational decisions. SLANTRANGE positions its offering to reduce operational costs for farmers, crop scouts and agronomists through faster data collection and processing. The company will use new funding to scale its sensor and analytics technology and expand its team to meet rising demand. SLANTRANGE recently closed a $5 million Series A equity financing to accelerate development and scaling of its technology.
