AppAddictive offers drag-and-drop tools to create Facebook pages and dozens of installable apps, including custom landing pages, photo and video galleries, static HTML, quizzes, YouTube galleries, and signup forms. The company plans to expand the selection into an "app store" organized by industry verticals (for example, finance or mortgage‑specific apps) and is working with Aviary and VerticalResponse on upcoming apps. It is also developing a Facebook ad campaign manager with bulk upload, ad creative testing, ad targeting and optimization tools, and analytics to track clicks, conversions and actions. The ad platform is expected to be live by spring, with expansion of the toolset to Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ planned for the summer. AppAddictive will operate a freemium model when it exits beta; all apps are currently free and apps installed by beta testers will remain free forever. The startup is DreamIt‑backed (2011 NYC class) and was founded by Mike Onghai and Judy Onghai, Ph.D.; Onghai previously worked at GeoCities and as a hedge fund manager. The company has raised seed funding to support product development and expansion.
