  Onstream offers a device-intelligence framework that immediately creates intelligent actions from device data, enabling responsive device behavior without additional human management. The product streams data through a bi-directional loop that interacts with cloud, fog, or local networks and supports near-device data transformation and sub-second, low-latency processing. Its feature set includes extensible device intelligence, real-time device control, comprehensive device/user/data security, flexible and scalable device management, and no hardware or platform lock-in. The Nevada-based company is backed by $2 million in funding from Traynor Family Enterprise. Onstream's framework has been deployed to create smart traffic controls at a complex mine, saving that customer more than $700,000 in a single year. The company said the technology will soon be used to add intelligence to sporting equipment, wine-making, hydration systems, and other industrial operations; its executives have prior experience at Microsoft, Agile Software Corporation, and Haws Corporation.
