Omni-ID raised $21M in funding and intends to use the proceeds to expand its global presence and product portfolio. The company plans to open new offices in Germany and India. In conjunction with the investment, several new board members were added to strengthen governance. Omni-ID is based in Rochester, NY. Omni-ID supplies high-performance, passive low-profile UHF RFID tags that operate in harsh environments, including on, off, and near metal and liquids. Its patent-pending technology is designed to enable a broad range of applications to improve asset tracking, supply chain management and work-in-process. Led by President and CEO Alastair Westgarth, the company focuses on antenna solutions for mobile operators. Quintel has additional offices in North America, Europe and Asia. The company completed a $10M financing round to support its growth. It plans to use the funds to develop a wider product portfolio and scale delivery capacity. The financing was led by existing investor Trillium International with participation from a strategic partner.
