Seven Bridges provides the Seven Bridges Platform, a scalable, cloud-based suite of tools for biomedical and genomic data analysis used in cancer research, drug development and precision medicine. The platform supports multi- and hybrid-cloud deployments (Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and other public and private clouds) and enables reproducible, collaborative analysis of large genomic datasets. Thousands of researchers and major projects—including the U.S. National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Genomics Cloud pilot and Genomics England’s 100,000 Genomes Project—use the platform, and Seven Bridges is the NIH’s only commercial Trusted Partner for access to large cancer genomics datasets. The company said the new funding will support ongoing innovation of the platform and help it continue to support users at the NCI, NIH, Genomics England and pharmaceutical partners. Seven Bridges recently made its platform available on Google Cloud to enable easier choice of computing infrastructure and reproducible analyses. The company has offices in Cambridge, Mass.; Belgrade; London; and San Francisco. Seven Bridges Genomics develops a Graph Genome reference and a suite of bioinformatics tools for storing and analyzing large sets of human genomes. Its Graph Genome includes a self-improving algorithm and can anonymize patient genetic data while retaining information needed for research and interpretation. The company is launching related tools including a graph aligner, branch genotyper and local assembler, a graph database, a genome browser, and disease-focused applications. All of these tools are designed to run on the Seven Bridges Platform, a cloud-based bioinformatics, computation and storage suite. Led by CEO Deniz Kural, the company intends to use newly awarded funds to complete and launch the functional Graph Genome reference and its suite of tools.
