Secoda is a Toronto-based AI-powered data catalog, lineage, and documentation platform led by CEO Etai Mizrahi. The company automates data discovery and documentation by automatically ingesting metadata across all data sources, enabling data teams to make decisions from a single system. Its platform combines cataloging, lineage, and documentation to streamline metadata management. Secoda serves customers including Panasonic, Mode, and Vanta. The company raised $14M in a Series A round and intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts. Secoda offers a Google-like search interface that connects to company databases, extracts metadata, and lets users quickly find tables and related documentation. The product surfaces table descriptions, who created a table, when it was created, and allows users to add documentation and collaborate. The SaaS startup launched in May and has been used by over 100 data teams across "basically every continent" since then. Secoda graduated from Y Combinator's summer 2021 cohort and was founded by Etai Mizrahi and Andrew McEwen, who previously sold their last company, Correly, to Acadium in 2019. The company currently has five employees and plans to add roughly 10 more in product, engineering, and marketing in the first half of 2022. It intends to use product additions such as an open API, further integrations, and enhanced collaboration to meet customer demand and ease setup (the team says extraction can be done in five minutes versus competitors that can take months).

OpsLevel offers a centralized developer portal and service catalog that helps engineering teams organize, create, and track microservices and their toolchains. The platform integrates with a wide range of developer and operations tools, including Git/GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, PagerDuty, AWS ECR, Datadog, Sentry, Snyk and SonarQube, to automate service ownership and operations maturity monitoring. Co‑founded by former PagerDuty engineers John Laban and Kenneth Rose, the company emphasizes automation to address unclear service ownership in distributed architectures. Customers include Auth0, Chegg, Convoy, Hootsuite, Under Armour and Zapier, indicating traction with engineering-led organizations. OpsLevel reported strong growth, noting that January revenue alone surpassed the prior quarter, though it has not disclosed detailed financials. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering team and accelerate product development to meet rising market demand. OpsLevel builds a "service ownership platform" that begins with a catalog of an engineering organization’s services and provides onramps such as config-as-code YAML and APIs. The product is designed to help teams adopt a "you build it, you own it" culture, reduce orphaned services, and prevent security and reliability problems as companies move to microservices or serverless architectures. OpsLevel integrates with Git workflows via YAML and exposes APIs teams can plug into existing service-creation workflows. The company says the platform becomes most useful once a company runs around 20–30 services and already counts customers including Segment, Zapier, Convoy and Under Armour. Co-founders John Laban and Kenneth Rose, two of PagerDuty’s earliest employees, plan to invest heavily in product development and in building out the go-to-market team. The team recently closed new funding to accelerate those efforts.
