Trove is a platform that lets users customize and buy personalized, 3D-printed jewelry and is launching today. The company is based in NYC and is launching with around 30 jewelry designs whose customization tools can produce hundreds of thousands of unique pieces. Pieces start at about $50 for bronze, with gold options rising into the high hundreds or thousands of dollars. Trove offers a free "try before you decide" service sending a 3D-printed plastic prototype so customers can check fit before ordering the final metal piece. Trove is powered by Shapeways, which handles printing and shipping of both the plastic prototypes and the finished metal pieces via its API. The company has raised a $640k seed round from Resolute Ventures and Uprise Ventures.
