Foxstone is an online real estate crowdfunding platform that brings together investors to jointly acquire investment properties and offers equity loans to finance real estate development projects. Its service is turnkey and fully digitised, covering property and project selection, monitoring and management, with processes completed online. Since its creation in 2018 the platform has attracted more than 15,000 investors and achieved a transaction volume of over CHF 150 million. The company plans to consolidate its business in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and implement tokenisation of real estate assets to enable liquidity and fractional trading. Foxstone aims to create a fully digital marketplace where users can trade parts of securitized properties and loan securities starting at CHF 1,000 from a smartphone while continuing to automate processes and data analysis. Financially it has just completed a CHF 10 million Series A to back these plans and has strengthened governance with a five-person board and a new CFO. Founded in 2016, Foxstone runs a digital platform that gives retail and professional investors access to the Swiss real estate market from CHF 25,000. The company has completed twelve transactions and reports a record transaction volume close to CHF 50 million and more than 7,600 registered investors, triple the prior year. Technological developments have digitized the investment process end-to-end, from notarial certification by videoconference to online property-management reports and digital co-owner assemblies. The growth in registered investors has shortened the average financing time for offers from six months to less than a day. The platform has also executed its first exchange of property shares on a secondary market, demonstrating liquidity in the asset class. Foxstone plans to launch a public crowdlending deal this summer and to complete a major technological and legal project to enable tokenization of real estate assets.
