Taloflow builds a collaborative AI notebook that automates the software vendor selection process for enterprises and B2B use cases. The product generates tailored vendor and feature matrices, comprehensive rankings, requirements tables and "cover your assets" reports to replace lengthy homegrown selection processes. Taloflow's notebook produces tailored reports for specific use cases in dozens of B2B categories, differentiating it from more generic services like Gartner or G2. The company says it is used for hundreds of decisions, including by the Fortune 500, and its public software, cloud, and dev tools guide now has nearly 3,000 entries. Today it launched a collaborative AI notebook two years in the making and plans to use new funding to build on-demand category generation, expand channel partnerships such as with SD Times, and enrich its public guide. Taloflow participated in Y Combinator's W21 batch and has raised $1.3 million in this round from Wonder Ventures, First Check Ventures, and several notable founders. Taloflow is a Vancouver-based company focused on reducing wasted cloud spend through automation and developer tooling. Its flagship product, Taloflow Instance Manager (Tim), is an automated assistant that alerts developers and recommends more efficient ways to provision cloud resources and create workload automations based on metrics and events. The solution currently runs only on Amazon Web Services and ties alerts to business objectives, costs, and performance in real time. The company targets mid-sized tech companies that are actively thinking about cost optimization. Taloflow pivoted from its earlier incarnation, LocoNoco, which addressed robot software automation, and is retaining elements of its developer automation work. Taloflow was accepted into Batch One of the Plug and Play Enterprise 2.0 Accelerator and plans to use its latest funding for marketing and growth.
