Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Bengaluru, PlasmaGen Biosciences manufactures and sells life-saving blood plasma-derived products such as albumin, intravenous immunoglobulin, rabies immunoglobulin, hepatitis B immunoglobulin and anti-D under its own brand. The company serves more than 5,000 physicians and hospitals across 70+ Indian cities and is now pursuing regulatory approvals and distribution partners to launch internationally. Recent executive hires—including a former Abbott India executive as CEO, plus new COO and CFO—aim to strengthen its organisational depth. Management plans to use new capital to broaden the product portfolio, scale global operations and build additional capabilities. PlasmaGen has raised over Rs 600 crore in total funding and is now valued at more than Rs 1,500 crore (≈$167 million). The past year was described by leadership as “transformational,” positioning the firm for wider impact on patient care.
