The product supports exercise, sports and lifestyle goals such as weight loss, and emphasizes social interaction and team morale. The company has shifted from a consumer-facing motivator to a B2B focus and claims over 200 B2B customers across the Nordics, the UK and the U.S., including Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, Ricoh, Ericsson and Santander. It has also licensed its platform to the Finnish Defence Forces for conscript training nationwide. HeiaHeia was previously bootstrapped and is profitable; the recent external funding is its first outside investment. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand internationally, beef up marketing in the U.S., UK and Northern Europe, and further develop its platform.
