Naturenama is a Mumbai-based travel-tech startup aiming to be a one-stop destination for outdoor travel in India. It will operate as both a travel guide and a planner focused on wildlife and adventure travel. The company was started by Shaunak Modi in January. Naturenama raised Rs 1.5 crore (about $225,000) in a seed round from White Unicorn Ventures and will use the funds mainly for technology enhancement, brand building and marketing. Its website is likely to go live next month. Modi previously co-founded Bytehouse, a tech startup for wildlife and biodiversity conservation organisations, and clothing brand TYGR.
