Scoot, formerly known as Preciate, delivers a videoconferencing platform that replaces static grids with a branded, interactive 2D room where participants can move around, hold spontaneous small-group conversations, and hear real-time “crowd noise.” Admins can customize background themes, music, and available features, secure rooms with join settings, and review analytics such as who attended and for how long, with the option to delete data at any time. Hybrid meeting support lets users livestream content into rooms that are accessible via Scoot’s iOS and Android apps, and developers can extend the product through available APIs. The company monetizes by charging for access to its baseline service and counts several Fortune 50 businesses among its customers, although it has not disclosed revenue or total user numbers. Scoot currently employs 14 people and plans to grow its workforce to more than 30 by the end of the year. Including its latest round, the company has raised over $16 million in total funding to date.
