Wunderflats is a Berlin, Germany–based platform that provides temporary furnished housing by connecting tenants and property owners. Co-founded in 2015 by Jan Hase and Arkadi Jampolski, the company is described as a market leader in its segment. It currently employs over 100 people. In July 2021 Wunderflats raised $21m in growth funding led by Verdane. Verdane is investing through a combination of primary and secondary capital. The company intends to use the funds to expand to Europe and to further invest in its product. Wunderflats is a Berlin-based proptech startup that helps people find furnished apartments for rent. Its core product is an online marketplace connecting renters with furnished apartments. Last week it secured €8 million in funding to support its growth. The funding round happened last week and largely flew under the radar. Wunderflats previously raised €3 million in seed funding in November 2017. All listings are fully furnished, can be used as official places of residence, and include all ancillary costs in the rent. The service targets professionals, consultants, freelancers and expats on extended work-related stays. For landlords, Wunderflats offers access to more than 1,000 selected business partners, tenant verification, apartment photography, automated advertising on partner classifieds like Immobilienscout24, and contract and payment handling. The company was co-founded in 2015 by Jan Hase and Arkadi Jampolski. It intends to use the new funds to support product innovations and further growth.
