  BoxTone is a Columbia, Maryland-based provider of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions. Led by CEO Alan Snyder, the company offers an EMM platform that provides real-time control of mobile devices, tablets and the apps that run on them. The platform supports iOS, Android, RIM BlackBerry and Windows Phone operating systems. BoxTone serves enterprises, managed service providers and public sector entities seeking to secure, manage and support mobile users, devices and apps. The company secured financing to support key growth initiatives and is backed by Lazard Technology Partners. BoxTone is a Columbia, MD–based provider of proactive Mobile Service Management (MSM) software solutions for enterprises, government agencies and managed service providers. Its MSM solution enables organizations to centrally manage, secure and support mobile devices, applications and platforms from a single, unified console. The software supports Apple iPhone and iPad, BlackBerry, Google Android, Nokia Symbian, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Microsoft ActiveSync, Good Technology connectivity platforms and other enterprise mobile applications. The company completed a $7.5M Series B funding round with Lazard Technology Partners to accelerate development of its enterprise mobility management suite and support corporate expansion. BoxTone reported record growth in the first half of fiscal year 2010, registering more than a 40% increase compared with the first half of fiscal year 2009. To meet market demand the company plans to hire more than 20 new team members by year-end.
