Tacta Systems is a Palo Alto-based robotics company developing Dextrous Intelligence, a smart nervous system that gives robots human-level tactile skills and spatial awareness. Its proprietary combination of software, hardware and AI enables robots to sense, adapt, and manipulate the physical world with human-like precision and speed. The company targets industrial and consumer applications, aiming to perform delicate, variable, human-like tasks with flexibility, efficiency and autonomy. Tacta says its technology will help automate factory work and physically grueling labor. Founded by serial entrepreneurs and led by co-founder and CEO Andreas Bibl, the company announced new funding to accelerate development of its robotic solutions.
