Leafood develops high‑tech indoor vertical farms to produce leafy greens year‑round for urban consumers across the Baltic region. The company is building and operating farms in Lithuania and plans expansion into the broader Baltic market, including Poland in partnership with YesHealth Group. Its first facility under construction in Vilnius has an initial 4,000 m² footprint within a 7,150 m² space and is projected to yield over 1,000 kg of leafy vegetables per day. The farm will be powered entirely by renewable energy (wind and solar) and the company says it will use bio‑fertilisers derived from natural ingredients such as soybeans and oyster shells to prolong shelf life. Leafood has secured seed funding and is seeking an additional €2 million from mission‑aligned investors to scale its controlled‑environment agriculture operations. Valentinas Civinskas is the founder and CEO driving the project to shorten supply chains and improve local food security.
