    Omni-ID develops industrial RFID tags and visual tagging systems, including patented on-metal and visual tagging technologies to enable IoT applications for asset tracking, supply chain management and work-in-process. Led by CEO George E. Daddis, Jr., PhD, the company supplies tags and systems to the Manufacturing & Logistics, Energy, IT Assets and Tool Tracking industries. Omni-ID raised $21M in funding and intends to use the proceeds to expand its global presence and product portfolio. The company plans to open new offices in Germany and India. In conjunction with the investment, several new board members were added to strengthen governance. Omni-ID is based in Rochester, NY. Omni-ID supplies high-performance, passive low-profile UHF RFID tags that operate in harsh environments, including on, off, and near metal and liquids. Its patent-pending technology is designed to enable a broad range of applications to improve asset tracking, supply chain management and work-in-process. The company intends to use the funds for new product and sales channel development. Omni-ID recently secured almost $8M in additional funding from private equity firm Trillium Group. The company is led by recently appointed President and CEO George E. Daddis Jr., PhD. Customers include Alcatel-Lucent, BHP Billiton, Boeing, Daimler-Benz, FloraHolland, GE Healthcare, Holt Cat, Honda, HP, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Lister Petter, Metro Group, Mitsubishi, Motorola, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, Prime Rail, Prisas Printura, Saab, Saipem, Sun and Wiseman Dairies.
