  Xiaoe Weidian runs unmanned snack bars and automated retail kiosks offering snacks, beverages, fruits and fresh meals. The company focuses on servicing larger employers (companies with 100+ employees) and counts clients including Tencent, NetEase, Baidu, Didi, China Merchant Bank, Alibaba Pictures, Gome and New Oriental. It operates in more than 10 Chinese cities including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, with over 5,000 stocked shelves and reported daily sales exceeding ¥200,000 (about $30,210). Xiaoe Weidian reports a second-month repurchase rate of around 75%, well above the industry norm of about 5%. The company has a partnership with Nestle for coffee capsules and is compiling consumer and commercial data from its automated stores to build marketing insights. Management says it aims to make unmanned stores a value-adding information channel and will retain focus on high-quality enterprise clients while potentially expanding to smaller companies later.
